A friendly running club based in Cirencester!

RSE Awards Evening

A big thank you to everyone who came to the RSE Awards evening last night. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves. A special thank you to Martin, Sampo and the Somewhere Else team for their hospitality, Tracey for the organisation of the trophies and Elaine and Tom for their work organising and inspiring so many to take part in the championship this year.

For those that missed the evening, awards were presented to the top 3 in each championship (Endurance Expert / Short Stuff Specialist and Overall Championship), Ellie Taylor deservedly took ‘Most Improved‘ following her incredible season and our 2018 ‘Runners Runner‘ as voted for by yourselves is Kate (The Legend) Potter. Congratulations to you all.

Thanks were given to our Head Coach Dave Whitlow for his relentless work behind the scenes to keep sessions varied and for his enthusiasm with organising other events such as the Treasure Hunt, Halloween Efforts and Fairford 10k.

A fantastic £130 was raised for our club charity ‘Cirencester Signpost’.

Sampo and Emma, on behalf of the Committee, also launched the RSE January Pledge and we hope to see as many of you as possible challenging yourselves next month (I just hope you can all remember which boxes you ticked!) There will be a celebratory social evening in February to recognise those who have achieved their goals. If you were not at the awards evening you can still take part by picking up a pledge card on a club night and choosing your challenge(s) for January until Wednesday 19th December.

Finally, I can imagine some of you were losing sleep over not knowing the answers to our Just for Fun RSE runner quiz…
