Race Report – 25/08/2025
Pershore Plum 10k
Organised by the Pershore Plum Plodders, this multi-terrain 10k race in Worcestershire is part of the Pershore Plum Festival over the bank holiday weekend. The route is described as flat, with runners rewarded with a medal and a famous Pershore plum to take home!

It is a 10km flat race covering three different terrains; road, grass and gravel. It is really well marshalled and they are all very encouraging. The best thing is no cut off time.
Heddington 5k
This was the final of the three races in the Heddington 5k series, a fast and flat route near Calne in Wiltshire. The race is also part of the Wiltshire Road Race League, so attracts a lot of local clubs looking for a speedy 5k time.

Possibly the most nervous I’ve been at the start of a race for a while. Had a slight hamstring niggle a few days before so wasn’t sure how this was going to go. Anyway it went very well, so pleased to squeeze another PB on a really nice 5k course, and very happy with my time. Lovely to run with fellow RSE runners as always, and back running a race with my wingman Robbo for the first part, who paced me very nicely. One to do again in the future. – Alan
The whole reason I entered this one was to get a 5k PB so the fact I was so far off was infuriating! It’s a lovely flat route with a downhill start that I probably used a bit too well! Lesson learnt for next time and definitely one I’d like to have another go at! – Jade
