250 Saturday Mornings Without a Lie-in

Langley Burrell 10K

Langley Burrell is a very flat, fast course and there are a number of 10K races over the course of the year. Well worth a go, if you feel in form for a PB attempt at 10K.

Phil Hudson and Wayne Hewitt ran this weeks event, in the heat. Well done to both.

“Langley Burrell is a flat 10k in the Lightening Bolt series, running with Wayne Hewitt on a scorching 🥵 morning, was hoping for a good run. Not every race goes to plan and some days you just take it as a bad day in the office, on schedule at halfway until my wheels fell off. It was a wake up call for me to run with how you feel, the conditions and don’t beat yourself up when things don’t go to plan, there is always another race.”

Park Runs

Cirencester

This weeks PR was well attended by RSE, so plenty of us were there to congratulate Andy Sworn on completing his 250th Park Run. Well done, Andy!

Also congratulations to Steve Sandercock, who smashed his PB.

“I took up Phil Hudson’s kind offer to pace me to have a go at my ciren pb. Phil’s pacing was brlliant, slowing me down after the start, and encouraging me along the route. But maintaining the pace over the full 5k was a real struggle. I’m sure i would have eased off without the pacing. My mindset to get round became ‘got to do it so I don’t let Phil down’! It worked though and I took 35 seconds off my recent runs. So very pleased”
