Speedy Sharon Gallops to the White Horse

The Uffington White Horse Gallop

The White Horse Gallop is a unique and spectacular trail running event, starting and finishing on the historic Ridgeway National Trail, dropping into the ‘valley of the racehorse’ and  passing Ashdown House, the neolithic long barrow burial site at Waylands Smithy, and finally the iconic Uffington White Horse itself. Representing RSE was Sharon Smith in a time of 2.09.01

“This is the same distance as Stage 4 of the Cotswold Way and I completed it in almost the same time even though the stony tracks and 2-3 miles of tarmac hindered me. The views were amazing as were the marshals and the huge welcome at the finish. I hadn’t seen the White Horse since my childhood and it is beautiful. A long drag uphill for home so this race is not for the fainthearted or anyone over 75 really !”

Well done Sharon!
