The hard training is definitely paying off as there were some incredible results this weekend with many smashing their PB’s and Sharon Smith finishing 2nd in her age group at Bath Half, is a great achievement in a race with so many runners .

Despite the damp, windy and chilly conditions this weekend there were some fantastic results from RSE runners with eleven out of fifteen runners knocking minutes off their PB’s.
Well done to Matt Lambourne and Elaine Chapman who both destroyed their personal bests at the home of British Motorsport with Matt coming home in 1.29.07 and 7 minutes off his PB and Elaine in 1.48.40 and more than 5 minutes off her PB.
Eleven RSE runners were among the thousands who took on the Bath Half on Sunday.
Seven out of the eleven recorded Pb’s with Teresa Hazelwood, 1.40.29, smashing hers by 11 minutes, Dave Witnall, 1.30.53 by 7 minutes and Sophie Dennett, 1.48.13 by 5 minutes. Simon Bowers was first over the line for the club in this second club race of the year with a time of 1.26.39 and a PB. Also achieving a PB were Andrew Maddison, 1.36.52 and Graham Aitchison, 1.35.09 and congratulations to Sharon Smith who finished in 1.41.28 for a PB and second in her age group. Well done to Laura Maddison who finished in 2.04.55 despite having run 23 miles the day before.

Well done to Alice Mason who only recently having joined the club knocked 6 minutes off her PB when she crossed the line in
2.07.15 and to Mark Sherwood who ran the distance for the first time finishing in 1.54.11.
