Well done to Sharon Smith, Laura Butler and Elspeth Murano who competed in the Bustcot 10K on Sunday.Congratulations to Elspeth for finishing her 10th 10k this year and become the fourth RSE runner to complete the clubs ten year anniversary challenge.
This 15 miler is voted the 6th best race in the UK by Runners World it is largely off road on pretty undulating hills around Bewl Water which nestles on the border of Sussex and Kent. Congratrulations to Amelia Culshaw who finished in 1.57.26. Amelia was overtaken by Dame Kelly Holmes at mile 7 (who started last).
COTSWOLD WAY CHALLENGE
A fantastic run by Fatima Birkett at the weekend in the undulating Cotswold Way Challenge. The race was in 4 stages and started in Bath finishing in Cheltenham. Fatima completed her 34 miles in 7.17.40.
GREAT NEWHAM LONDON 10K
Pete Whitmore was one of 15000 runners who took part in the Great Newham London 10k on Sunday. The course took the runners around the Newham area, Olympic Park, and finished inside the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Pete completed the course in 1.16.13.
