This weeks Racing – 12th November 2016


Stephen Priestnall ran in the Cheshire 10k on Saturday, which is officially one of the fastest courses in the UK. Starting from Arley Hall the race then took the 1400 runners around the rural roads of Antrobus.  Stephen finished in 39.57 (PB).  Well done Stephen a fantastic result.
Another amazing result and huge congratulations to Amelia Culshaw who competed in the Athens Marathon on Sunday.  Starting from the town of Marathon the course took the runners on a steady uphill climb for the first 20 miles and then a descent for the remainder of the race finishing in the impressive Panathinaikon Stadium.  Amelia finished 3.45.01.
Nick Duncan and Stephen Priestnall both competed in the Tri Ferris Duathlon at Cirencester Park on Sunday.  The muddy, off road hilly race consisted of a run, bike, run.  Nick finished in 1.19.28 (Splits – 17.07, 43.15, 17.59), and Stephen completed the course in 1.25.21 (PB) (Splits – 16.20, 49.34, 17.26).  Well done you two!
An awesome achievement and massive congratulations to Tim Hodgetts who competed in this incredible challenge at the weekend.  The 7th Druid’s Challenge is a multi day ultra marathon, 84 miles along the Ridgeway, the oldest roadway in the UK.  Starting in Buckinghamshire competitors then make their way to Wiltshire.  Tim came 29th overall and finished in a total of 15hrs 18mins 29secs (Day 1 – 5.08.48, Day 2 – 5.05.08, Day 3 – 5.04.33).
