There are a number of vacancies on the RSE committee which we are seeking to fill.
The committee currently consists of a broad cross section of runners who are able to represent a wide range of views; this is something we are keen to maintain.
The committee meets every six weeks for about an hour and a half which means a commitment of about 10 meetings a year.
In 2017, RSE will have its 10th anniversary, a milestone which we would like to celebrate with everyone associated with the club.
As this will be a special year for the club, we would like to increase the size of the committee so that we have more helpers to mark the event.
The current vacancies are:
Social Secretary and general members.
The new roles are:
Vice Chair, Vice Captain, Fund Raiser
The role of the VC is to support the chair and deputise in the chair’s absence.
The role of the VCap is to support the Club Captain for example taking on responsibility for
events such as the Cotswold Way Relay or the Laycock 10k and other social races.
The role of the SS is to plan and co-ordinate opportunities for club members to meet beyond club nights.
The role of the FR is to co-ordinate fund-raising activities working closely with the SS to co-ordinate and plan events.
The role of the GMs is to support the committee as needed.
Depending on the interest received, there may be the opportunity for committee members to represents interests of specific groups of runners for example as trail or ultra-marathons.
If you would like to be on the committee please do come and discuss it with the Club Chairman Caroline Coates or email her through email@example.com to arrange an opportunity to meet.
We very much looking forward to hearing from you,
