A gorgeous sunny Sunday morning bought 46 ‘Running Somewhere Else’ club runners to Cirencester 10k, in the stunning grounds of Cirencester Park.
First home for the club was Mark Garrett 38.44, followed by Russell Young 38.52, Simon Bowers, 38.56, James Thomas 39.38, Andrew Maddison 42.34 (PB), Matt Lambourne 42.38, Henry Chruch completed his first race for the club with a time of 42.39, Martin Pitts 43.16, Lee Ellis 43.26 (PB), Andy Sampson 44.14, Ivor Probert 44.33 (PB), Dave Whitlow 44.24. First Lady home for the club was Sharon Baldwin 45.50 – who came 2nd in her age group V55, followed by Deb Barry 46.02 – who came 3rd in her age group V55, Alastair Wood 47.16, Teresa Hazelwood 47.22 (PB), Oliver Cooper also competing for the club for the first time 47.25, Sharon Smith 47.33, Rob Hill 47.38 (PB)Emma Riggs 47.41, Sharon Rastelli 48.03, Elaine Chapman 48.16 (PB), Wayne Edginton 49.02, Laurie Davis 49.57 (PB), Hannah Hodges 50.22, Paul Byrnes 50.27, Roy Joslin 50.55, Brian Pitt 50.43 – who came first in his age group V70, Sophie Dennett 51.19, Hazel Bridges 51.55, Elizabeth Coombs 53.56 (PB), Kirsty Pitts 53.59, Pauline Tilbury 54.45, Jacki Day 54.59, Francesca Cooper 56.18, Jonathan Collins 56.56. Also completing her first race for the club was Eve Barry in a time of 58.36, Laura Maddison 59.05, Charley Trykush 59.53 (PB), Caroline Coates 1.00.31, Tracey Pitts 1.02.48, Louise Abbott 1.02.48, Caroline Terry 1.02.53 (PB) and Jill Jeffries 1.08.19.
10 club members managed PB’s in this race including Laurie Davis who beat her time by over a minute, and Caroline Terry and Elaine Chapman who managed to beat their times by a staggering 3 minutes.
