Well done to all who ran in the Lacock 10K race on Saturday, in a beautiful setting. While it was flat, it was cross-country, with quite a few stiles to negotiate, so it was hardly a PB course. The results can be found at http://www.relishrunningraces.com/lacock-abbey-10km-results.php and the Club Championship standings have been updated and published on the RSE website.
We even picked up a few prizes: Second Place (Mark Garrett), MV40 (Simon Bowers), FV50 (shared between Debbie Barry & Sharon Baldwin) and FV60 (Sharon Smith)! Thanks to Caroline for organising the picnic afterwards and to Philippa for preparing the food.

28 RSE runners turned out for the Lacock Abbey 10K trail race on Saturday. The flat course which starts at the Abbey and runs alongside the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal produced no PB’s due to having to negotiate several stiles along the way. Despite this some great results were achieved.
Well done to Mark Garrett who led the race until the last 1K to finish 2nd overall in 39.32 and 1st in his age group. Mark was followed seconds later by Mark Primett who finished 5th overall Mike Primett in 39.51. Simon Bowers finished in 6th place in 40.46 and 2nd in his age group.
Joint first home for the clubs ladies were Deb Barry and Sharon Baldwin in 49.47 and joint 1st in their age group.
Sharon Smith crossed the line with Sharon Rastelli in 51.00 with Sharon Smith collecting 1st F60+. Well done to Sarah Coates who ran her first ever race and finished in 1.05.34.
