Sunday was the second staging of the Fairford 10k organised by Running Somewhere Else.
332 started the Ovo Energy sponsored race and was won by Ciren AC’s Chris Illman in 32.31.
First lady to finish was Hayley Winters from Gloucester AC in 38.37. The mens team prize went to Chris Illman, Dave Bell and Simon Campbell of Ciren AC and the ladies to Shona Crombie-Hicks, Niamh Shoemark and Alison Lane of Bourton Roadrunners.
RSE had 13 runners representing the club. First to finish for the club was Russell Young in 40.02.
Congratulations to new RSE runner Sallie Jamieson who smashed her PB by 7 minutes when she crossed the line in 44.52. Also running for the club for the first time was Elaine Chapman 51.14, Mark Sherwood 46.41 and Rob Hill 48.38 with Elaine also achieving a PB.
Well done to Deb Barry who finished in 45.34 and picked up 2nd in her age category and to Mikey and Harley Coram who finished together in 45.44 to also record PB’s . Matt Lambourne having run the Swindon Park Run the day before in 21.32 did well to finish with a PB in 47.49.
